House
The house was painted last year and this is how it looked in December (above). Without the trees you get a better idea of how the house itself looks. I have left the yellow-painted photo up to show how it is sheltered in the summer.

This Camden, Maine cottage has spectacular views overlooking Hosmer Pond and Ragged Mountain. (We might call them lakes, but in Maine they are called ponds.) Lots of windows and skylights, pine paneling, colorful handmade Finnish rag rugs, comfortable contemporary furnishings, good reading lights and a fully equipped kitchen. One and a half baths, all linens provided. A queen bed is in the upstairs bedroom and a single in the cozy camp room on the first floor. Ideal for a couple or three persons. Unusual charm and ambiance.

Two kayaks are tied up to the floating dock. Great swimming in the pond. A deck wraps around two sides of the house for dining, sitting and sunning. Seven minutes from Camden Harbor. Tennis courts and hiking trails are across the street at the Snow Bowl Recreation Center, at the foot of the mountain.

Cable TV, DVD, Internet, wood-burning stove and gas heat. Pets considered.

Available June through October. $900 a week in June, September & October. $1250 in July; $1350 in August.
